Dynamite Dinosaurs
Grades 6-8 Maker Camp
What will you design and create during maker camp? Use a variety of tools (power tools, circuitry, machine sewing, and more!) plus cool STEM concepts to build your ideas.
Grades K-2 Themes
June 1: Super STEM PreCamp!
This camp is jam packed with activities from all areas of STEM. This summer, we will be featuring camper favorites such as discovering what yeast likes to eat, engineering the best zipline, designing marble roller coasters, and creating chemical reactions! Each SuperSTEM Camp will have different activities, sign up for them both!
June 8: Engineering through Time
Aqueducts and roads from Rome, drawbridges from Medieval times, water clocks from Ancient Greece, biodomes for future space colonies — explore and design your own version of these engineering marvels from past, present, and future.
June 15: LEGO Adventures
Are you a future LEGO engineer? Challenge your skills by using LEGO bricks to explore simple machines like levers and gears, design a maze for a marble, and build a vehicle that can protect an egg! Imagination and creativity will be encouraged in this hands-on LEGO camp.
June 22: It’s Electric!
Have you wondered how electricity works? Discover the basics of electricity and more in this camp by exploring static electricity, testing the conductivity of play dough, and designing your own working circuit creations.
June 29: Go Green Science (4 days)
Explore the amazing resources from our planet as you harness the wind to power a vehicle and use heat from the sun to cook food! Campers will also build using materials from nature, discover ways to recycle and reuse household items, and design water filtration systems.
July 6: Famous Scientists
From Isaac Newton to Thomas Edison to Ada Lovelace, explore the incredible discoveries of famous scientists through experiments and activities! Amazing inventions, microscopes, sound waves, and outer space are just some of the areas our famous scientists represent.
July 13: Camp Invention*
Are you a future Inventor? Join us for a week of activities created by the National Inventors Hall of Fame! Explore flight, design and build a sports arena, invent ecosystem protections, and reverse engineer a robot you will take home! (Registration info below)
July 20: Jungle Trek
Venture deep into the jungle as we explore the animals, habitats, and resources from these amazing biomes! Campers will simulate carnivorous plant digestion, design animal camouflage, and explore the symmetry found in nature while discovering the ways we can protect our jungles.
July 27: Science of Art
Be inspired with unique art projects that are created using science! From color chromatography and paper making to abstract art using chemical reactions and the geometry of origami, STEM skills will be paired with artistic creativity in this camp!
August 3: Boom, Pop, Splat!
Is it messy? Does it explode? Be prepared for mess and fun in this camp that includes everything that goes boom, pop, and splat! Projects include activating chemical reactions, comparing slime recipes, and designing the best egg drop contraptions.
August 10: Jr. Gadget Design
Use your imagination and your hands to turn your ideas into gadgets! Build engineering skills by making a ball launching device, creating your own spinner toy, or designing an aerodynamic slingshot rocket. Then, use these skills to make your own inventions!
August 17: Super STEM PostCamp!
